GJS Machinery was established by Graham Stone in 1978, and since then he has worked with passion and enthusiasm in the printing industry, often creating new machines to fill a gap in the market, or to meet one-off customer requirements. Originally founded as a screen printing supply business, GJS has evolved over the years and is now a multi-faceted organisation with divisions that span digital printing, dye sublimation, doming and direct to garment printing.
Graham’s son, Greg Stone, who will take over from Graham as Managing Director commented saying, “I literally grew up in the business with Dad and from my perspective I have already been incredibly fortunate to have been given the latitude to explore new avenues of the business, new printing technologies and develop our online presence.
“Dad’s ability to keep the business agile and embrace new technologies has ensured that GJS has remained at the top of the industry for thirty six years and I sincerely hope to continue to build on his success and ensure that GJS continues to remain one of Australia’s leading distributors to the printing industry” Greg concluded.
Graham intends to keep a close eye on GJS in his retirement however his attention will be focussed on his new house on the south coast of NSW and indulging his passion for fishing.
