Wide format industry consumables supplier Orafol Australia has added no fewer than five new senior team members to its already experienced staff for 2020.

Managing Director Alex McClelland says: “Part of our strategy for 2020 is to strengthen our existing team and hire highly motivated, professional, talented and industry-respected individuals who not only represent the ORAFOL brand but are also interested in developing a long term business and solution based relationship with our customers. As part of this strategy I have pleasure in announcing the appointment of five new key members of the ORAFOL team.”
He continues: “These individuals come to ORAFOL with a wealth of industry and product knowledge and collectively many years of working in the signage and display industry. These appointments are the beginning of a national program of recruitment for quality individuals in all areas of our business.”
The new appointees are:
RUSSELL MURPHY – State Sales Manager Vic/Tas
Originally from New Zealand, Russell says he owes his success and accomplishments to his work colleagues and customers, past and present, that have allowed him to work with them to create wonderful things.

“I believe in corporate social responsibility and my time belonging to my local Rotary club has provided me a real perspective in helping others and being community minded,” he notes.
Russell started his career in print and graphics and has never looked back, having won many awards along the way. He left the Land of the long white cloud eight years ago and spent over six years with Spandex before joining ORAFOL. He has run his own Sign production business, where he first encountered ORAFOL products.
Murphy says: “Working for ORAFOL, a manufacturer and supplier, is indeed a major progression within my professional life. I look forward to helping establish ORAFOL as the number one choice for materials within the industry. I look forward to serving my clients, being innovative, creative and solutions focused.”
He is the proud dad of three adult children and Grandpop to three beautiful grandkids – two boys and a little girl. When not at work, he loves the outdoor life.
BRETT TURNER – National Product Manager

Brett leans on almost 40 years of industry experience to manage the diverse product portfolio within ORAFOL Australia. He has held senior management positions in technical and commercial roles in ink manufacturing, equipment and media, providing the perfect skill set for his current leadership role.
His tasks with ORAFOL include marketing, education, training and will draw down from all the previous experience accrued from the dynamic graphics market. He is technically proficient in chemistry, media and inks, as well as CRM and commerce, having spent twelve years with DIC (Dainippon Ink & Chemical) and further experience with Agfa Graphics and HVG.
He is an alumni of the University of Sydney in Marketing and Management.
DANIELA MASTROIENI - National Strategic Relationship Manager
DanieIa entered the industry thirteen years ago and was immediately eager to learn and develop herself into a leading sales professional in the print and graphics world.

TRENT BYRNES – State Sales Manager NSW/ACT
Trent Byrnes is another new hire who has worked as a practicing signmaker, having learned his craft at UTS Sydney and apprenticed at Signs Ahead, Sydney. He was eager to get into his own business, which he started in 1999 as Byrnes Signs Designs. He put his practical knowledge to work on the supply side with Spandex, AGS and HVG before joining ORAFOL.
Byrnes wealth of technical knowledge - some 27 years in the Signage and Printing industry – will be invaluable for customers. He will be closely involved hands-on with ORAFOL’s wrapping academies, which enjoy huge patronage overseas, as they are rolled out locally during 2020.
CHRIS O’BRYAN – National Operations & Logistics Manager

Chris is an experienced Operations Manager with 27 years in the signage and graphics industry. He was the National Operations Managerat Spandex Asia Pacific between 1998 and 2016. His extensive knowledge, working closely with all the major industry suppliers, including Avery, Arlon and 3M, is invaluable. With a focus on leadership and increasing staff productivity, he has successfully managed large teams across multiple sites. Recently joining the ORAFOL team as the National Operations Manager, Chris looks forward to bringing his industry knowledge and people skills to this role, to grow the customer experience and the ORAFOL profile.
