In a letter to customers and stakeholders, oOh!media CEO Brendon Cook writes:
In these difficult times, I want to personally update you on the steps we are taking to manage oOh!media’s operations through the impact of COVID-19, and how we are looking after the best interests of employees, customers and other stakeholders.
We have implemented numerous measures to mitigate risk and safeguard wellbeing among our colleagues. These include:
All Australian and New Zealand employees being given the option to work from home, which many are now doing.
Ban on external face to face meetings, and restrictions on internal meetings.
Social distancing in our offices.
Ban on external visitors to any of our offices.
Encouraging employees who use public transport to travel outside peak times.
Preventing international business travel, and only allowing business-critical domestic travel in line with evolving government restrictions.
Despite these measures, we remain very much open for business.
Like the rest of the world and companies in every sector of the economy, the Out of Home market is undoubtedly being impacted by the coronavirus. However, we continue to manage our operations appropriately, while looking after our customers and helping them get their messages to the Australian public.
Our teams across Australia and New Zealand are actively making extensive use of the phone and video conferencing to liaise with customers and other stakeholders, and we are constantly in touch with them to discuss their requirements and manage their campaigns.
While we’ve cut down on our travel, the general public are still out and about in the community – in shopping centres on foot and going around in their cars. On average footfall is rising in local centres, and people are still getting out for exercise, as well as many other activities. In short, people are moving around locally, and our network is a local media.
In addition, we are playing our part in rolling out the Federal Government’s new public health campaign across our assets – a campaign that will save lives and which is without question the most important initiative we have ever been involved in. We will continue to support this and any related initiatives as events unfold.
I wish you and your organisations all the best as we collectively work our way through these uncharted waters. If you have any questions or require any clarifications, contact your oOh!media account manager or the company on 1300 791 989, and please take care.
Kind regards,
Brendon Cook.

‘Now in a series of short podcasts, video messages or live conferences we will show you how we connect and maintain strong contact with our customers and support our partners, plus what moves and pleases us.
