Kathryn Polgar, GM at Ricky Richards, has captured the optimism for a far better 2021 in Ricky's Seasonal message, reproduced below and with the team in festive spirit in the above composite image!
"On behalf of team Ricky...
All I can say as you open this message is, what a year!
This time last year, everyone was reflecting on the end of a decade and what they had achieved personally and professionally, with the promise of what 2020 would bring. Oh how wrong we were... but it did fill the brief; it was a year of change, uncertainty and potential.
Here at Ricky we rode that wave and while we had to make some tough decisions to survive what was unknown at the beginning of the year, we have been completely energised by our customers, the opportunities that have been thrown at us due to COVID and the business potential in Australia as we move to new ways of working. The most refreshing part of all this is the return of local manufacturing.
To our friends and suppliers, I would like to acknowledge you and the support that you have given the team here at Ricky Richards. Without you we would not be the company that we are right now. A company that started with Norman & Ron and continues today with a much larger team. We believe in long term relationships that are built on trust and that very much came to the fore in 2020. While some of you may have been riding your own rollercoaster within your business, your desire to support us has never been lost and for that we thank you.
However you celebrate this time of year I would like to pass on my gratitude to you, wish you well over the holiday season and hope that whether you have just entered lockdown again or just started to enjoy your freedom, moments are treasured with your families and goodwill is spread by all.
On a final note, I want to leave you with the lyrics of a song that you will no doubt hear and sing over the new year period. It’s from the land of my birth and over 200 years old, but never more appropriate today as we have been held from travelling and meeting in person. So when you grab the hand of the person next to you to sing this, or sing it to yourself, you will now know the true meaning of Auld Land Syne. Below first and final verse with chorus."
