It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Bokay Signs' Bob Meade, a legend in the WA sign industry since 1984. Bokay (from Bob & Kay, his wife), merged with Expo Group in 2019, which in turn was acquired by Jason Signs, WA's largest sign group. Stan Kilpin, former publisher of Image magazine, has kindly provided a short valedictory.

Stan Kilpin writes: "I have known Bob for many years and he was indeed a legend in the WA sign and screenprint industries. Bokay existed for over 37 years and as one of WA's most prominent family-owned sign businesses saw many ups and downs including the Bayswater factory being engulfed by fire. With the valued assistance of many local sign businesses and suppliers, Bokay emerged bigger and better. The company, now part of Jason Signs Group, was for many years a proud family operation and the winner of many industry awards.
Bob Meade will be sorely missed and passed away peacefully on Sunday 2nd May 2021. Sadly, he will not see the long and peaceful retirement he so deserved and longed for.
