Walter Kuhn, president of the Print & Visual Communications Association (PVCA), says securing Thornton as the evening’s master of ceremonies is a ‘coup’ for the event.
“We are very much looking forward to gathering as an industry to celebrate the achievement of excellence in print and recognise the people and businesses who are leading the way in our industry, and absolutely delighted that Dave has agreed to MC the celebrations.”
As well as live shows, Thornton’s credentials include Network Ten’s Hughesy We Have a Problem, the AFL quiz show The Beep Test on Fox Footy, and regular appearances as a co-host on The Project. He has also acted in Channel Nine’s House Husbands and ABC TV’s Upper Middle Bogan and spent four years co-hosting Fox FM’s breakfast radio show alongside Fifi Box and Brendan Fevola.
The awards dinner presented by the PVCA is expected to draw a crowd of hundreds and will be held at the glamorous Melbourne Room 1 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre during PacPrint 2021.
“The evening will be a real celebration of our industry’s resilience and commitment over the past 12 months, and a great chance to get together with colleagues and friends from across the industry for a night of fine dining and fun,” said Kuhn.
The National Print Awards Presentation Dinner will be held in Melbourne Room 1 at the MCEC on Thursday 30 September.
