It is with great sadness that we have to announce that the Board of PacPrint, incorporating Visual Impact and the Label & Packaging Expo, have today decided to postpone the shows until June-July 2022. Major trade shows need several weeks of preparation for both organisers and visitors, with interstate and international visitors also needing certainty in order to plan their time, travel and accommodation. The latest Covid-19 situations can not provide that certainty.
The last time our industry staged a major trade show was PrintEx, Sydney, in September 2019 |
The show the industry was eagerly anticipating, due to open in late September, will be deferred to June 28 – July 1, 2022. If there is any good news, it is that all exhibitor subsidies provided under the government grant scheme to get Australia's events industry back on its feet, will remain and can be used for the re-scheduled show - and only that.

BREAKING NEWS: PacPrint 2021 Postponed
The PacPrint Board has today announced that, due to ongoing uncertainty caused by COVID outbreaks around the country, the industry’s leading expo has been postponed until the middle of 2022.
PacPrint 2021, Visual Impact Melbourne and the Label & Packaging Expo were due to open at the end of September, however with the current situation in Sydney and, to a lesser extent, Melbourne, Queensland and South Australia, Chair of the Board Sue Threlfo says the decision became ‘inevitable’.
“The past couple of weeks has demonstrated that, unfortunately, this pandemic is far from over. Realistically, we have come to accept that restrictions will continue to apply for some weeks and perhaps months to come, which may impact not only on the venue arrangements, but on the ability of our exhibitors to properly prepare their stands.
“We’ve been in constant discussions with the MCEC and with Austrade, and the owners of the shows Visual Connections Australia and the Print & Visual Communications Association (PVCA), as the situation has evolved.
“We are all in agreement that the increasing uncertainty for our exhibitors and visitors has become untenable, so we have made the exceptionally difficult decision to postpone the expo until 2022.
“The exhibitors are supportive of this decision and have indicated their commitment to the show remains unchanged.”
The new dates – the first available at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre for next year – will be June 28 – July 1, 2022.
The latest information, floor plans, exhibitor details and more will continue to be available on the PacPrint website, www.pacprint.com.au
