Screen Network, the leader in the digital Out-of-Home market in Poland, has installed two large format screens in Warsaw as a daily reminder of “how little time is left to prevent irreversible damage to the environment.”

“Each day brings us closer to an ecological and environmental catastrophe,” Screen Network said. “According to scientific calculations, with the current level of CO2 emissions, in less than 8 years irreversible climate changes will occur; global temperature will increase by 1.5 degrees. This moment is known as the point of no return. We must start acting here and now and encourage the largest possible amount of people to act. A clock has appeared on the screens installed in the epicentre of Warsaw, transmitting the countdown towards the tipping point.”
The action is a response to the international initiative #ClimateClock, created by activists from all over the world. The first climate clock was launched in New York, on the screen at the Marriott hotel, near Grand Central Railway Station.

“Climate change is not only a distant and abstract threat, but a real challenge that we must face today,” Screen Network said. “The educational campaign, carried out by Screen Network and the editorial staff of [news website] NaTemat.pl, is to raise public awareness of how little time is left to take the actions that are necessary to save the Earth and the world as we know it.
“The action uses two large-format screens, which over 250,000 people pass every day. The messages broadcast are a reminder of how little time is left to prevent irreversible damage to the environment. Screen Network has extensive experience in social and educational campaigns. We regularly engage in initiatives for the public good."
Multi-award winning Screen Network is the leader in the Digital Out-of-Home market in Poland. It manages the largest network in the country (over 20,000 screens), which operate within a single, integrated IT system. Every day, messages displayed on the screens of Screen Network reach over 6 million people, reaching 6 out of 10 Poles who are out of home.
