“These popular and proven solutions have been available in Europe for a number of years, and now, in order to meet customer demand, Drytac is bringing these flagship products to the wider global audience,” said the Bristol, UK manufacturer of adhesive-coated products - distributed in Australia by Shann DPM.
Drytac Polar Premium Clear
Drytac Polar Premium Clear is a versatile 3.2 mil (80 micron) phthalate-free printable polymeric solvent self-adhesive PVC film with a high quality, clear adhesive for optimum performance on a wide variety of substrates.
The printable film – compatible with Solvent, Eco-Solvent, UV and Latex technologies – is ideal for long-term indoor and outdoor applications such as general signage, window graphics, exhibition and event graphics, and POS displays. It can also be used for applying vehicle graphics onto flat or slightly curved surfaces.
Developed with more durable plasticisers than less expensive monomeric PVC films, it offers improved durability and weatherability. The clear permanent adhesive provides a stable long-term solution that can be removed after many years without leaving any residue.
Drytac Weathershield
Drytac Weathershield UV overlaminates are 3.2 mil (80 micron) clear polymeric gloss or matte PVC laminating films that can be used across applications including general signage, window graphics, exhibition and event graphics, and POS displays.
Also offering excellent levels of versatility with its polymeric qualities, Weathershield can be matched with any Drytac polymeric PVC film – including Polar Premium Clear – to increase the durability and weatherability of graphics.
“Weathershield has minimal shrinkage and odour due to plasticiser migration resistance and is recommended for outdoor signage or high-end indoor graphic applications where the highest UV protection is needed,” Drytac said. “The vinyl has UV stabilisers in the face film, plus the adhesive also has UV protection, ensuring the solution provides the very best protection for vibrant coloured inks and media stability.
“With an outdoor durability of 7 years, Weathershield boasts several fire ratings, making it ideal to use in public spaces.”
Shaun Holdom, global product manager at Drytac, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer these adhesive science solutions to the wider global marketplace and provide a matched solution with extended durability to the industry.”
Drytac last year appointed Melbourne-based supplier Shann Digital Print Media (DPM) as exclusive Australian distributor for its range of wide format print media, mounting and protective films.
