Sign and print media supplier Spandex Asia Pacific is lifting prices on most of its products by between 6% and 10% from February 7, 2022, due to continuing challenges in global supply chains.

Spandex last month said its rigid material pricing would be updated in January – joining suppliers Graphic Art Mart, Amari, Starleaton and Spicers in announcing price rises due to supply conditions.

In a pricing update late last week, Spandex Asia Pacific managing director Ben McCauley told customers:
“At this time, it is important to note our commercial graphics pricing will be updated from Monday, February 7th, 2022. We have worked as diligently as possible to mitigate the update's impact; however, it will vary depending on the brand and product.
“The widely reported cost increases are now no longer able to be absorbed, with most products increasing between 6% - 10%.
“We want to thank you, our customers, for your support throughout the year. Your support has ensured the Spandex team has continued to grow and remains ready to serve you and your business every day.”
McCauley added: “From February 7th, 2022, Spandex will have a new and exciting instalment of our Essentials Product Guide. In this 2022 edition, new paint protections films from STEK Automotive, Avery Dennison and ImagePerfect will feature.”
