Messe Frankfurt, organiser of the DS Printech China trade shows, has deferred this month’s rescheduled fair in Guangzhou as China continues its zero-Covid policy restrictions.
“In light of rising Covid-19 cases in Guangzhou, and in support of the government’s pandemic containment measures, the organisers have deferred DS Printech China,” said Messe Frankfurt.
“Originally due to take place from 16 – 18 November 2022, the rescheduled fair will still be held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. A new date will be announced in due course.”
Wilmet Shea, deputy general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK): “After monitoring the city’s evolving pandemic situation, and following discussions with stakeholders, we determined that rescheduling the fair was necessary to prioritise the safety of fairgoers.
“I would like to thank all participants for their patience and understanding, and to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to provide a safe and business-friendly platform for the digital and screen printing industry.”
In July, Messe Frankfurt announced it would move its DS Printech trade show in Shanghai to Guangzhou to support efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.
DS Printech China is a rebranding of two events: CSGIA and Textile Digital Printing China. The debut edition in Shenzhen in 2020 attracted 200 exhibitors and 9,000 visitors, with 130,000 online participants.
The fair is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, China Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association (CSGIA) and Guangzhou Teyin Exhibition Service.
