Epson partner Integrated Productivity Systems (IPSi) has created an automated print-and-apply labelling solution that combines Epson’s ColorWorks on-demand colour inkjet label printer and the Epson VT6L 6-Axis robot.
“As more businesses see the need to increase packaging and labelling speed, Epson announced its [Pennsylvania, US-based] reseller partner Integrated Productivity Systems (IPSi) has created an automated print-and-apply labelling solution,” said a press release.
“Leveraging the Epson ColorWorks on-demand colour label printer and the Epson VT6L 6-Axis robot, IPSi is helping businesses add efficiency and cost savings to operations with an innovative, flexible system for printing high-quality colour labels and applying them next-label out.
“Bringing on JM Automation Services, a manufacturer of custom automated machinery, IPSi has developed a state-of-the-art, robotic print-and-apply system for streamlining the process of getting products packaged and labelled as quickly and efficiently as possible.”

The Epson VT6L robot with built-in controller saves factory space, while its SlimLine structure featuring a compact wrist pitch enables access to hard-to-reach areas in confined spaces.

The solution is currently installed and in use with IPSi customers.
Meanwhile, in order to meet increased demand for automation solutions, Epson Robots is expanding access to certified robot training for US customers and system integrators.
The courses are offered in-person at Epson’s headquarters in Los Alamitos, California and now at a number of regional Epson Robots Certified Training Centers located in the Western, Southern, and Northeastern US.
