Australian Sign & Graphics Industry Association’s (ASGA) upcoming webinar, Glues for Sign Making (Tuesday, 18 April 2.00pm AEDT) will showcase various types of glues used in sign making, how and where to use them, how to prepare a surface to ensure maximum adhesion, and how to store glues safely.
Serge and Nicholas Popovic from Acrylic Technologies Australia will present on the topic, Mick Harrold of Visual Exposure and ASGA will outline his experience using glues and Vernon Kingman of Kingman Strategies will moderate the webinar.
Serge is an experienced director with a history of working in the chemicals industry for over 20 years. He is skilled in engineering, business development, research, sales, and management and has a master’s degree focused on mechanical engineering from the University of Belgrade.
Nicholas has been involved in the adhesive industry for the last four years, successfully manufacturing and developing new products. He has also been involved in the areas of sales and management at Acrylic Technologies Australia and is also currently in his final year of a commerce degree with a major in marketing at Macquarie University.
“With the increasing popularity of channel letter bending technology and less reliance on mechanical fixings, understanding glues and their application is vital for ensuring a sign can withstand the test of time”, said Mick Harrold.
“There is not one glue that suits all projects. Knowing which glue to use and how to apply them is essential knowledge for all sign fabricators. With the latest in glue technology covered in this webinar, and following on from our channel letter bending webinar where glues were only briefly mentioned, fabricators of all levels are encouraged to register.”
ASGA members can register free. Non ASGA member cost is $33 inc GST.
