Melbourne print & signage business Tint Design has announced a management buyout effective 1 July, with former general manager Paul Coniglio named as the new managing director. “Our vision is to become a market leader in custom signage and film solutions," he said.
“The new leadership team will consist of Paul Coniglio as the Managing Director and Julia Slussareff as Financial Director,” said a company press release. “Both Tyler Golding and Rob Batty will take up the roles of Account Directors in the business focusing on strategic growth of key sectors.”
Based in Bayswater, Victoria, Tint Design was founded by Shane & Anne Golding 36 years ago. The business focused on solar films and internal glazing of office windows with frost and warning bands. It has expanded over the last 3 years to become a provider of modern signage solutions for the built environment. The business also specialises in custom braille and tactile signage for supply only clients.
“The business will trade as 2NDGEN Pty Ltd trading as Tint Design – paying homage to both Paul & Tyler’s long-term careers working underneath their parents. Tyler for over 20 years at Tint Design and Paul’s as General Manager of Conect Enterprises for 15 years.”
Coniglio said: “It is an exciting day today for the four of us to announce this acquisition. I have had the pleasure of knowing Shane for 20 years through my career in the sign industry. I am so thankful that he gave me the opportunity to lead the business over 12 months ago and to be able to continue his great legacy. The opportunity to work with Tyler and Julia together to build Tint Design into something special, is something I am very excited about.
“We are great at digital prints, warning bands and frosting windows, but our vision is to become a market leader in custom signage and film solutions for the built environment.”
Since Coniglio’s arrival in March 2022, the business has experienced over 60% growth in 12 months adding new clients and market segments, as well as experienced talent. Tammy Roos has 27 years of signage experience and joined the business as lead estimator in November. Bob Cuthill joined TD as Production Manager with a 30-year career in the sign industry across Scotland and Australia. The business also recruited three new cadets to create a career path for people interested in signage and design.
“I am an experienced leader in the wide format and sign and display industry,” Coniglio said. “I’d like to thank Shane Golding and Anne Golding for giving me the space and freedom to take the business in a new direction over the last 12 months and for our team to have embraced our vision so strongly.”
The change of ownership will take place July 1, 2023.
