The ISA Sign Expo is on this week in Orlando, Florida, where Onyx Graphics, is set to preview ONYX 24 and also unveil the much-anticipated ONYX Align updates, integrating Onyx workflow with QuickBooks accounting software.
The first look at ONYX 24 was at FESPA, Amsterdam last month. ONYX 24, the company’s latest release in RIP software, addresses critical industry needs for speed, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability. Developed with customer feedback, this new release brings features designed to streamline the printing process, enhance color quality, reduce waste, and significantly boost workflow productivity. ONYX 24 represents the company's commitment to continuous innovation and sustainability, directly addressing the evolving needs of print providers worldwide.
Key ONYX 24 highlights
- Easy Multi-Layer Printing: This feature achieves effortless multi-layer printing by leveraging single images or multipage PDFs and automatic generation of multiple layers for white ink, varnish, and other special effects. It effectively reduces manual input and streamlines the preparation process. This update will enable users to automate their multi-layer printing workflow, virtually eliminating file preparation at the RIP.
- Enhance Process Control and Color Tools: With the integration of a ColorCheck Baseline Swatch for newly created profiles, users can ensure the consistency of colors in future print runs. The addition of wireless support for the Nix Spectro 2 and Spectro L spectrophotometers via Bluetooth also marks a leap forward in facilitating easier, affordable color management and calibration. Additionally, the software's new Named Color Replacement is designed to offer unprecedented control for color matching, setting a new print quality and efficiency standard.
- Optimize Media Conservation: The latest advancements in ONYX 24's Conserve Media placement strategy introduce a new level of nesting optimization. With the enhanced Best Fit feature, the software now efficiently manages job types across all output resolutions, ensuring an economical use of media. This critical update enables print shops to significantly reduce media waste, delivering direct and impactful savings to their bottom line.
Addressing today's challenges
"ONYX 24 marks a major milestone in our commitment to address practical challenges faced by the printing industry," says Matt Crawford, CEO of Onyx Graphics, Inc. adding: “Scheduled for release in Q2, this version is set to deploy our most advanced RIP solutions to date, empowering our users with the tools they need for unparalleled automation and efficiency.”
He continues: "At ISA this year, we’re excited to unveil ONYX Align, our premier print shop management solution, along with its highly anticipated integration with QuickBooks Online. This integration is a game-changer for print service providers, making their financial management exceptionally efficient and streamlined."
The integration between these two platforms allows print providers to synchronize essential data such as customer accounts, job estimates, tax rates, payment terms and methods, invoices, and other vital information in real-time. This synchronization eliminates manual data entry and reduces the risk of errors. ONYX Align users can now automatically generate estimates and invoices and maintain up-to-date records of all payments and invoices with the new QuickBooks Online integration. Ultimately, this will empower our users to streamline their financial tracking and reporting processes and concentrate on their core operations.
Peter Eze, Manager of Product Management at Onyx Graphics says: "ONYX Align's groundbreaking QuickBooks Online integration exemplifies our unwavering dedication to empowering print service providers with cutting-edge workflow solutions. By automating crucial financial processes, we're unlocking unprecedented efficiency, driving tangible results, and delivering substantial cost savings for our valued clients."
