The first look at ONYX 24 was at FESPA, Amsterdam last month. ONYX 24, the company’s latest release in RIP software, addresses critical industry needs for speed, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability. Developed with customer feedback, this new release brings features designed to streamline the printing process, enhance color quality, reduce waste, and significantly boost workflow productivity. - Easy Multi-Layer Printing: This feature achieves effortless multi-layer printing by leveraging single images or multipage PDFs and automatic generation of multiple layers for white ink, varnish, and other special effects. It effectively reduces manual input and streamlines the preparation process. This update will enable users to automate their multi-layer printing workflow, virtually eliminating file preparation at the RIP.
- Enhance Process Control and Color Tools: With the integration of a ColorCheck Baseline Swatch for newly created profiles, users can ensure the consistency of colors in future print runs. The addition of wireless support for the Nix Spectro 2 and Spectro L spectrophotometers via Bluetooth also marks a leap forward in facilitating easier, affordable color management and calibration.
