Here's another 'DT' acronym to remember: DTE for Direct-to-Emroidery. It's a quite ingenious move by Brother, using its existing GTXpro DTG (Direct-to-Garment) print technology and its vast knowledge of sewing machines to embroider a white-thread image and then overprint it in colours.

Streamlined Workflow, Enhanced Designs
The Brother DTE system empowers creators with a streamlined workflow. Embroiderers can first create their designs using white polyester thread, followed by a wash-resistance pretreatment. The fabric is then transferred to the Brother GTXpro DTG printer. Using a high-resolution camera, the DTE system precisely aligns (registers) the embroidery with the remaining artwork for a flawless final product.
Brother’s DTE technology unlocks a new level of design possibilities. Vibrant colors and intricate details can be added directly to embroidered elements, creating truly unique and high-quality garments.
