The Victorian chapter of the Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA) is inviting members and interested parties – ‘all people in print’ - to a tour of Holmesglen, followed by a celebration of the year’s top apprentices with the presentation of the 2025 LIA Victoria Graduate of the Year Awards.
The Holmesglen Institute runs 3 Cert III Apprenticeship courses out of its Chadstone campus, in Prepress, Printing and Finishing
Situated in a small suburb called Chadstone, about 15km south-east of the Melbourne CBD, Holmesglen is one of the largest government-owned TAFEs in the state of Victoria, and has been providing vocational and higher education for over 40 years, currently to more than 140,000 graduates.
The print school there offers a range of courses, aimed at providing graduates with the skills they need to become job-ready across a wide range of emerging industry opportunities. LIA Victoria President, Robyn Frampton, says: “You can’t under-state the importance of education and training institutes like Holmseglen to the future of our industry. This is a great opportunity to talk to some of the trainers and educators there to get a real insight into how the industry professionals of the future are being prepared for a career in our dynamic and exciting sector.”
LIA Victoria President Robyn Frampton“It is also a great opportunity to celebrate and meet with some of the best and brightest up-and-coming talent in our industry, as we announce our six finalists in Victoria’s Graduate of the Year Awards and acknowledge one of them as the overall winner.”
This ‘Tour and Award’ opportunity will take place on Thursday 24th July from 6-8pm, starting in Building 1 of the Holmesglen Institute in Chadstone, Melbourne (corner Batesford & Warrigal Road). The event is free for existing LIA Members, with a $30 charge for non-members to cover costs. Book here
