Mutoh logoBuilt on Mutoh’s trusted XpertJet platform and manufactured in Japan, the XPJ-1682SR DS Pro integrates two AccuFine HD 3200-nozzle print heads in a staggered setup, which Mutoh claims delivers ‘class-leading drop placement accuracy at production speeds up to 86 m²/h’.

Tailored for sublimation transfer workflows, the printer supports up to 8 colour channels (including dual CMYK) and features all of Mutoh’s smart automation tools such as DropMaster2, FeedMaster, Nozzle Area Select, and Media Tracker ensuring reliable, uninterrupted performances across different paper types and roll lengths. It also integrates Mutoh’s i-screen weaving algorithm for minimal banding,

The printer is offered with motorised take-up systems (40kg or 100kg) and is equipped with multi-stage pressure rollers to allow for flexible media handling.

Mutoh DS4 ProFlex Sublimation Ink editThe new DS4 ProFlex ink comes in clean, degassed 1kg pouchesWith enhanced colour in mind, the new DS4 ProFlex ink has been created specifically for Mutoh’s latest generation of water-based sublimation printers, including the XpertJet 1341WR-P and 1642WR-P as well as the new XPJ-1682SR DS Pro. The DS4 ProFlex ink is a successor of Mutoh’s DS3 ink and uses a refined formula with new colour ingredients, improved grip on transfer paper and reduced sensitivity to temperature variations during printing. These upgrades translate to more stable colour reproduction, even during long production runs or when working with uncoated or lower-cost transfer paper. This lends itself to more high-repetition, colour-critical work, such as for fashion, sportswear, signage, interior textiles, and promotional items, as well as reliability in industrial environments.

The DS4 ProFlex also comes in clean, degassed 1kg pouches and is compatible with Mutoh’s advanced AccuFine piezo printhead technology. Certification process for the new ink under ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX is currently ongoing and, as with the XPJ-1682SR DS Pro printer, availability is only currently through Mutoh Europe’s network of certified distributors across the EMEA region.
