In the lead-up to the ASGA National Sign & Graphics Awards, the Awards Committee has reviewed and revised the Award Categories, to give entrants more clarity and, in the case of more popular categories, to create more opportunity for recognition.

2026 Awards edit

 Specific revisions include:

- Splitting the ‘Fabrication - Large Pylon & Sky Signs’ award category into two, with one category for businesses that employ five people or fewer, and another for businesses which employ more than five people.

- Tightening up the definitions for the ‘Installation’ awards category, to encourage signage installation businesses, as well as manufacture and install businesses, to submit entries.

- Splitting the ‘Original In-House Design Concept’ award category into two, with one specifically for signage businesses which create design concepts in-house, and a separate category for design and architectural firms who do not manufacture signage, but design and create the concepts for signage projects.

- A re-definition of the ‘Young Star’ award category, to encourage the nomination of anyone who is new to our industry, including those on a training program, or learning on the job (as long as they have been in the industry for five years or less).

- Opening up the ‘Training Innovation’ award category to all training programs across the signage and graphics sector.

In a final twist, this year’s ‘People's Choice’ award will benefit from an interactive ‘view and vote' model, with all eligible award entries to be displayed at the Visual Impact Expo (2nd and 3rd September), inviting visitors to the show to cast their own votes ahead of the Gala Presentation Dinner, being held at the Sydney Showgrounds on the evening of Thursday 3rd September.

ASGA welcomes award entries and urges all participants to carefully check the revised entry categories, read the T&Cs and submit their entries well ahead of the 5pm, Wednesday 24th July closing date (remembering to take transmission times into account).

The 2026 ASGA National Sign & Graphics Awards are sponsored by Avery Dennison, ORAFOL and Spandex as Gold Sponsors and Currie Group as Bronze Sponsors.
