From April 1st 2026, both the Ricoh Digital Services Business Unit and the Ricoh Futures Business Unit will be discontinued as separate entities and their respective organisational functions transferred to other Business Units and functional departments (according to respective functions and roles).

A Ricoh Software Business Unit, an Integration Marketing Division, and Corporate Planning Division will all be newly formed. Three current Ricoh divisions will also be renamed: Supply Chain Functions Management Division becomes the SCM Division; the Digital Strategy Division now to be known as the Digital Transformation Division; and Ricoh’s Technology Management Division will adopt the shorter mantle, now simply referred to as the Technology Division.

In a media statement announcing the changes – which also include concurrent changes to the titles and roles of 11 of its senior corporate officers – Ricoh explained that ‘the changes are being brought about to streamline its operations and enhance its strategic alignment, with the renaming of divisions aimed at reflecting a stronger focus on technology and digital evolution’. The statement went on to explain that these moves ‘underscore Ricoh’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and a more cohesive corporate structure in response to an increasingly digital business landscape’.
