A new series of Océ roll fed wide format printers, the CS9200 series, designed to offer signage and industrial digital print providers high quality output at fast speeds, has been released in Australia.

The 165cm wide Océ CS9265 and the 224cm wide Océ CS9290 printers become available in October and will be demonstrated at the VIIE show in Sydney October 30 to November 1.

Through the use of specially designed high speed, low solvent inks supporting its high speeds, the Océ CS9200 series produces outdoor signage, banners, vehicle graphics, exhibition displays, window graphics and similar signage with a durability of up to three years.

cs_9200a.gifDisplay Graphics/Imaging Supplies Product Manager for Océ Australia Limited, Adrian Morris, says the series offers high capacity and improved quality on an industrial level, enabling clients to greatly expand their productivity through faster throughput.

“Additionally there are savings on consumables through use of a bulk ink system supplying a litre of ink per each of the four colours” Morris says.

The new series takes on board the newest Océ wide format innovations including Océ CS9200 Series Variadot imaging technology producing ink drops of varying size to deliver smoother gradients and finer details, and Océ WAVE Stitching Plus.

“Océ WAVE stitching prints in waves instead of straight lines, virtually eliminating horizontal lines known as ‘banding’ and resulting in higher print quality.” says Morris. “Océ WAVE Stitching Plus extends this function to produce higher quality printing in production mode even when more demanding media are used.”

“With each printer eight new micro-staggered print heads combine with the high speed low solvent inks to enable timely completion of big production jobs and rush jobs in production print mode.”

“With a variety of print speeds up to 80m2 / hr, the CS9200 series printers offer powerful production capacity for both indoor and outdoor durable prints.

“The high quality mode delivers top quality print work at print speeds of up to 14.4 square meters per hour. In quality mode this increases to 20.9 square meters while, in high speed mode for less critical applications with longer viewing distances, the speed increases to 80 square meters per hour.”

Morris says the high speed, low solvent inks offer superior colour gamut, improving drying characteristics and providing excellent light fastness. Output is scratch, smear and crack resistant and can be used for up to three years outdoors without lamination. Lamination is advised only for heavy duty applications such as floor and vehicle graphics.

Both Océ CS9200 models are equipped with a winder/unwinder system that simplifies media loading and ensures a reliable feed. Bulk media rolls of up to 100kg are supported by the winder/unwinder system ensuring less roll changeover down time when printing long run jobs.

Océ offers many other benefits for customers such as full media profile library for most medias including Avery Graphics, flexible financing options along with in-house service and support.
