Omnitech Graphics and Mutoh launch two new models that will be on show at the VIIE show.

First up is the new ValueJet 1618 which Mutoh claim has an improved speed of 32 square metres per hour in banner production mode and 18 square metres per hour in high quality vinyl mode.

It also runs on Eco-Ultra Ink which are supplied in 1000ml x 8 ink packs (dual CMYK). The printer is comprised of 2 heads (180 nozzles x 8 lines), 12 printing modes allowing print resolutions of 1440/720/540 dpi. The media-drying system includes individually controlled pre, platen, and post heaters.

The TexJet

Designed for durable graphics on coated and uncoated substrates up to 1625mm wide with a maximum media weight of 30Kgs as standard and optional 100Kgs. Ideal for full- colour posters, banners, backlit panels, POS displays, notices, signs, and stickers.

The new ValueJet 1618 utilises Mutoh’s Drop-On Demand-Piezo Drive Method and Mutoh’s patented Intelligent Interweaving  Wave Print Technology (i2) which applies the ink in optimised wave forms, not in straight lines as used in traditional printing practices. This technique allows for increased print speeds and virtually eliminates banding and ink mottle. In addition, Mutoh claim that users receive increased dot gain control, allowing more latitude in profile settings.

Then also Mutoh is launching their TexJet at the VIIE show

The direct to textile TexJet is available in two models, the TexJet Mutoh 1604 and the Texjet Mutoh 1618PRO.

The TexJet combines a choice of Mutoh’s i2 Wave Print ValueJet printers with a fixation unit that reduces production costs and turn-around times.

The printer utilises specially modified disperse dye water based inks that Mutoh claims delivers bleed free, vivid saturated colour and excellent penetration for double-sided applications on untreated polyester without the safety issues associated with solvent inks.

The TexJet’s built-in fixation unit produces even heat across the full width of the print area, providing accurate colour reproduction which Mutoh claim is the best in its class and provide nationwide support with trained engineers throughout Australia and New Zealand . It also includes adjustable print-head heights and a range of i2 Wave Print print modes as well as Mutoh's exclusive tension web technology that ensures wrinkle free feeding of the fabric throughout the printing and fixation process.
