With an ugly economy and an even uglier political situtation in Bangkok, FESPA have all the odds against a successful show this week.

Wednesay the 26th saw the Thai protestors storming Bangkok's International Airport reportedly stopping all arrivals and departures.

FESPA immediately went into top gear and issued statements to all internationally pre-registered visitors and media (including Wide Format Online magazine) that "The Show Will Go On" and FESPA in conjunction with the BITEC, the venue, said they would collect everybody in limousines from the Domestic terminal, where some of the arriving aircraft were being diverted to.

Thursday, the 27th, new reports indicated that the protestors had blocked this airport as well.

Some others were being diverted to Phuket and other smaller airports

International visitors would then be chauffer drive to their respective hotels. It is assumed the reverse would take place after the show.

With the Bangkok crisis taking top spot in many news broadcasts across Australia and New Zealand and with our governments issuing travel warnings about Bangkok, it is feared that not many, if any Australian and New Zealanders will take the risk and visit the show. It is also assumed that some will have a pressing need to attend and therefore will make the journey.

Wide Format ONline magazine will bring you up to date news of the situtaion as well as any other exhibition related news.
