ACCO Brands Corporation, the United States based parent company of GBC Australia Pty Ltd, has reached a definitive agreement to sell the Commercial Print Finishing portion of its Commercial Laminating Solutions business to Cosmo Films Limited, a leading manufacturer of BOPP films based in India.
The Commercial Print Finishing business provides industry-leading high speed commercial laminating equipment, film and services to the commercial printing industry globally. As part of the transaction Cosmo intends to appoint GBC Australia Pty Ltd its exclusive distributor of Commercial Print Finishing’s GBC branded commercial laminating products. The transaction is expected to close in late second quarter 2009 pending satisfaction of certain closing conditions.
GBC Australia Pty Ltd is a leading supplier of print finishing and business mail solutions to the Australian market. Prior to, and after, the close of the transaction, GBC Australia Pty Ltd will continue current operations in the Australian market. GBC Australia Pty Ltd will continue to sell its current range of print finishing and business mail products including those targeted at the commercial laminating market in Australia.
