Compliance with strict fire regulations opens up new application opportunities for ImagePerfect digital materials.

Spandex has announced that a large proportion within its extensive ImagePerfect Digital range of materials now have fire-resistance rating certificates, opening a whole host of application opportunities for these products.

firerated_ip_900_hires.gif“Fire-resistance rating is achieved by applying a special, highly-engineered top-coat to the product and we are pleased to announce that many of Spandex’s ImagePerfect™ products now have this important value-added feature,” explains Roland Keller, Executive Product Director, Spandex. “The products comply with the stringent French or German rating systems which provide a valid reference point for Australia as a whole and, as such, are industry recognised”, adds Mr. Keller.

The use of a fire-resistance rated product in public areas complies with strict fire regulations which require materials to have fire protection classifications, while also providing peace of mind. “Only products with the relevant level of fire-resistance rating can be used in certain environments such as interior exhibition stands and interior application at airports. This makes having the adequate fire retardancy certificates such an important feature” explains Mr. Keller.

Within the ImagePerfect™ Digital range, some of the top selling films including IP2503, IP2515 and IP2516 as well as IP2309 textile banner have also received fire retardancy certificates. “ImagePerfect™ now offers a fire retardant material within all relevant product categories, including vinyls, specialities, banner, textiles, mesh, paper and backlit. This makes the ImagePerfect™ range the ideal choice to meet the requirements of signmakers and digital printers” says Mr. Keller.
