Halifax Vogel Group (HVG) today announced plans to build a new office and warehouse complex in Western Australia.

The 6000 square metre site at Bibra Lake will become the Western Australian base for HVG’s group of importing and distribution companies – including Halifax Vogel Group, SmartStone, Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia – replacing existing premises at Bayswater.

Staff are expected to move into the 1,500 square metre office and warehouse complex in approximately 12 months time.

“Construction of the state-of-the-art complex represents a $2.5 million investment in the future growth of business in Western Australia,” said Bruce Rayment, CEO, Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia.

Today’s announcement follows HVG’s purchase of 22,500 square metres of land at Derrimut in Melbourne for an office and warehouse complex – a $7.5 million investment announced in September.

The opening of the two complexes during the third quarter of 2010 will provide additional space and facilities for the importing and distribution of HVG’s diverse product range, which includes market leading aluminium composite material, graphics media, industrial fabrics, decorative building products, engineered stone and exhibition systems.

“Like the Melbourne site, the new complex in Perth will be of full concrete construction with an Alucobond clad office area and there is enough land for further warehouse expansion in the future,” said Mr Rayment.

“The complex will offer a safe and spacious working environment for our Western Australian team and enhance supply opportunities for our clients, with more stock readily available and streamlined processes for purchase and distribution.”
