During the development of the new products, particular attention was paid to environmental and ecological considerations.
Both products already do without the butyl tin compounds that are still commonly needed today for the chemical stabilisation of PVC sheets; according to EU Directive 76/769 EEC, such compounds will no longer be approved for use in plastic sheets as of 1 January 2012 because of their toxic properties.
The KömaTexNEW has a new, whiter hue (similar to RAL 9003); a density of approximately 0.6 kg/dm_; flame resistance B1/M1 now up to 10 mm; a new protective film (apple-green) and better surface smoothness thanks to a new tool innovation.
The plus points of KömaPrint include: a density increased to approximately 0.5 kg/dm_; a new, bright white hue (similar to RAL 9003); flame resistance from two to five mm; it is punchable to 2 mm and 3 mm; it has a translucent protective film (optionally also on both sides) and better surface smoothness thanks to a new tool innovation.
