The Effective Sales in Print and Communications course has been piloted by Printing Industries Victoria for more than 12 months and will be launched in Sydney on Tuesday 23 August.
Printing Industries National Manager, Learning and Development, Ian Walz, said the course will be presented by Shane Maher who ran the Victorian pilot courses.
“Shane is an accomplished trainer whose animated style of training delivery will ensure that all participants will finish the training with the knowledge and enthusiasm necessary to succeed in the demanding world of print sales,” he said.
“We have received glowing testimonials from a great many companies who committed to the Victorian course including Immij, Galaxy Design, Printgraphics and the Fantastick Label Company to name a few.”
Mr Walz said the intensive course would run over three days in Sydney from Tuesday 23 August to Thursday 25 August.
“Assessment for the course is both written and practical. We use video for guided practice and to record sales professionals in action and to track their progress.
“This course goes further than providing just knowledge; it takes sales people into real situations away from their comfort zones and gives them the confidence needed to prepare an individualised approach through the eyes of their clients so that they can build trust, discover the real buying motive and correctly handle any objections.
“With so much industry competition for print work and competition from other media, it is essential that print sales teams are well trained and focussed on the job at hand, know their product and how to maximise nits market positioning,” he said.
Effective Sales in Print and Communications covers Motivation, Managing self and Leading others, Positive Belief Systems, Prospecting, Determining Buyer Needs, Selling Benefits, Selling Value, Gaining rapport and Overcoming Objections, Closing Techniques, Creative Proposals, Success anchors, Visualisation techniques, Sales Scripts, Time Management and Major Account Development and on-going repeat Sales.
