The Graphic Arts Services Association of Australia (GASAA) will hold a series of educational spotlight sessions around the nation early next year. The sessions will be supported by grant funding from the Federal Government Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research through the Workshops Industry Intelligence and Networking element of the Enterprise Connect initiative.

The free informal sessions will run in February and March next year and are focused on the grant theme of “Continuity Planning in Print” following the significant impact to local businesses from significant flood and bush fire events in recent years.

GASAA will work with other industry partners including the Printing Industries Association of Australia to hold 13 Spotlight Sessions across capital cities and major regional areas over a six week period.  GASAA has already piloted several successful Spotlight sessions in Sydney which are modelled on the popular ABC TV program Q & A hosted by Tony Jones.

Garry Knespal, GASAA Executive Officer, of over 20 years who will provide the pivotal “Tony Jones” role of session moderator said, “We are delighted to receive the support of the federal government through Enterprise Connect, and to work with industry partners to bring this “grass roots” industry engagement to multiple venues early next year. All businesses, large and small, need not only to plan for success, but also what to do should natural, economic or personal disaster strike.”

These workshops are supported by Enterprise Connect. Enterprise Connect is a $50 million a year Australian Government initiative that provides support to eligible Australian small and medium sized businesses.
