The exhibition will bring together prize-winning artworks from digital imaging contests held throughout 2011 in India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Taiwan.
By providing original digital imaging products and services for photography and graphic arts, Epson aims to empower enthusiasts as they seek to explore creative techniques and bring their imaginations to life. In line with this vision, Epson Group companies around the world carry out numerous activities supporting culture and the arts, including photo and art contests.
The digital imaging contests held in 2011 were conducted based on specific application requirements and screening standards designed to reflect the needs and special characteristics of each country and region. A number of new initiatives were also introduced, including online contest entry through Facebook and a common cross-regional theme, which resulted in a large number of highly unique entries that express their creators' originality.
The Epson Color Imaging Exhibition showcases a total of 142 artworks including top winners from India, Indonesia and the Philippines in addition to a collection of winning pieces from the Taiwan contest. The exhibition will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Taipei, one of Taiwan's most renowned art museums. The opening event of the exhibition will include the regional award ceremony for the winners from these four localities. The artworks will be on display until April 8 and will be free for public viewing during official museum opening hours.
