HP today announced the winners of the HP Digital Print Awards 2012 - HP Sign & Display (Asia Pacific and Japan).

Into its third year, the competition attracted 82 entries from 13 countries across six categories: Environmental Responsibility, Exhibitions and Events, Innovative Application/Unique Media, Outdoor Advertising, Retail Point of Purchase/Point of Sale and Vehicle Graphics.
Commemorating the importance of creativity for Print Service Providers (PSPs) in the signage industry, the Awards were presented at a gala dinner in Shanghai on July 11. The HP Digital Print Awards for the Sign & Display industry recognizes PSPs who have leveraged HP’s digital printing solutions to meet the increasing demands of their customers for innovation.
Martin Carballo, Director, HP Scitex – Graphics Solutions Business, Printers and Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific and Japan said, “The HP Digital Print Awards for the Sign & Display industry salutes PSPs who are pushing the boundaries of print through innovation. We are excited to see some really outstanding submissions this year. We hope the award winners can find new revenue opportunities ahead with HP through their printing portfolio.”
“This year’s winners have once again demonstrated how they can add greater value during the pre and post-press treatment process by introducing new elements such as engraving to create additional value for end users.”
The award assessment criteria included innovation and creativity, marketingappeal, the best use of ink and color, creative print application installation and overall aesthetics.
Winner of the Retail Point of Purchase/Point of Sale Gold Award, Tom Tjanaria, Managing Director of Next Printing said, “All of us at Next Printing are delighted and proud to be a winner at the 2012 Digital Print Awards. We have value-added in this process and have been able to deliver to our customers with HP“
