Starleaton Digital Solutions will feature a major push into the retail and commercial glass graphics market at the PrintCom/Visual Impact exhibition, Sydney from Sept 24-26.
General Manager Ben Eaton says: “We realized that we had several materials that are specially designed for application to glass, so we are bringing them all together into one portfolio to offer what is Australia’s most comprehensive range of printable materials for every kind of glass. This covers protection and security as well as advertising graphics.”
Apart from the well-known ContraVision brand of see-through graphical materials for office building wraps, bus advertising and retail centres, Starleaton also has:
Neschen Easy Dot – An easy-to-apply material that eliminates air bubbles thanks to a dot-pattern adhesive. It is used extensively on glass doors of supermarket fridges as it withstands cold temperatures and removes cleanly with no residue.
Neschen Gudy Window – a 2-sided adhesive system that enables any printed product; brochures, signs, offers, to be turned into an adhesive-fronted glass sign applied to the inside of the glazing.
HELIXx Optically Clear – a new material that is as clear as the glass it is applied to so necessary vision is not impaired, while graphics can be printed on it. It strengthens and UV filters glass so is ideal in retail applications.
Taklite – a very low-tack film that can be re-positioned or removed with no residue or marking at all up to 12 months after application.
SDS Clear Self-adhesive film – an economical choice of either monomeric or polymeric PVC ultra -clear film for short to medium term glass advertising on a budget.
Through an agreement with Dainippon Screen and ContraVision, Starleaton also offers a Rip and printer that can simulate see-through ‘stripes’ on clear adhesive material with the added advantage that graphics can be printed on both sides. This is useful in airports and other security areas where low-key observation is needed, as well as retail and office locations.
“There are millions of square metres of glass out there,” says Eaton, “much of it waiting for creative graphics that the wide format signage industry can produce - with the right materials and know-how. Starleaton has both, as visitors to our stand H5 in the central PrintCom area of VIEE and the Retail Expos will see.”
