Starleaton Digital Solutions has taken its first order for the new SEAL 65 PRO MD top-of-the-range laminator/encapsulator/mounter even before its scheduled commercial availability.
Billed as ‘the most advanced laminator in the world’ the 65 PRO MD was first shown at the SGIA show, Las Vegas in October.
“It created a sensation,” says Starleaton General Manager Ben Eaton; “in that, for sheer speed, the 65 PRO MD is unbeatable. It was running thermal laminate twice as fast as any other machine and encapsulating at 4.6 metres-per-minute, which is unheard of. This is the dream machine for high productivity laminating shops and, being designed and made in Neschen’s US factory, the build and quality are just outstanding.”
At 1651mmwide (65 inches), it is 76mm wider than previous SEAL Pro models. A new easy-to-use touch-screen control panel puts all adjustments at the operator’s fingertips – from both sides of the machine thanks to the swivel-arm mount. The bi-directional operation means that hot and cold laminating jobs can be run consecutively, without waiting for the front rollers to cool down. Precise nip and temperature are displayed on the LCD panel for top and bottom rollers.
“The first one ordered for ANZ will be shipped in January and installed in February,” says Eaton, “the customer instantly saw the productivity and reliability gains to be made. The 65 PRO MD will become our flagship laminator, I am sure: – SEAL and Neschen Americas have really done us proud with this unit.”
