Following several changes already announced last week, the PacPrint13 Board has announced a series of brand new ‘Business Improvement Workshops’ to be held during the show, covering a series of vital topics for business owners and key personnel.
Last week, in response to the findings of recent industry research, PacPrint13 Chairman Ian Martin announced several changes to the look, feel and content of the event – to be held in Melbourne from 21-25 May - to ensure it continued to reflect the needs and wishes of the industry. Today, he announced that the popular PacPrint Forum Series will this year be complemented by a totally new initiative, the PacPrint Business Improvement Workshops.
“In terms of the educational component of the event, we are not only continuing the well-established and popular PacPrint Forum Series, but introducing these new Business Improvement Workshops which are designed to cover a series of vital topics for business owners and key personnel,” he said.
While the Forum Series will tackle the ‘big issues’ under the banner of ‘Industry in Transition’, the Workshops will tackle more specific issues including many raised by research participants.
“Essentially, these Workshops will be ‘meet the expert’ sessions, where visitors can gather valuable information on topics of interest in short, sharp sessions which will be totally focused on the requirements of our industry,” Martin explains.
“We are currently speaking with a number of experts in a wide range of areas in order to develop a program which will provide the greatest benefit to businesses across the board. Topics will be diverse, from things like how to take advantage of Government support for the industry, to the likely impact and opportunities offered by the NBN, how to use social media to build your business, innovation and its role in business success and, of course, more general areas such as financial management and retirement planning, how to optimise business performance, and sustainability and energy efficiency.
PacPrint13 will run from 21-25 May at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and Martin says Workshop sessions will run at both 2pm and 3pm every day except Saturday. Each session will be repeated a number of times during PacPrint, giving industry professionals plenty of opportunity to catch the sessions they wish to attend.
