Roland DG is currently demonstrating its newest, most advanced wide-format inkjets, including the company's rocket-fast PRO4 XF-640, at the PRINT 13 show that is taking place in Chicago.
In addition, Roland is also featuring special presentations on the expo hall floor, live, in-booth appearances by internationally acclaimed photographer and multiple "Benny" award winner, Bob Armstrong, and more.
Roland's first PRINT 13 presentation, "Tap into Business with Wide-Format Printing," took place Sun., Sept. 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the expo hall theater. In this informative session, Eric Zimmerman, Roland Product Manager, Colour Products, provided data and insights for commercial printers interested in increasing their business opportunities and profits by expanding into the lucrative digital wide-format market. On Tues., Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m., Hiroshi Ono, Roland DGA's Group Product Manager, UV, 3D and Engraving Products, introduced attendees to "New Technologies Revolutionising the Production of Realistic Package Prototypes and Comps," a presentation detailing the advantages of UV-LED printers and how these state-of-the-art devices are making package proofing and prototyping faster and easier than ever before. Bob Armstrong, the winner of eight 2013 PIA Benny Awards for his "Body of Work" collection - a "new generation" of artistic photographic imagery, was Roland's special in-booth guest from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 8 and Mon., Sept. 9. Armstrong relies upon Roland's innovative UV-LED printing technology to create flawless one-off prints from his original photographic masterpieces, works of art that sell for $25,000 and up. Additionally, Roland will be displayingthe PRO4 XF-640 - at the PRINT 13 "Inkjet Candy Store," located in booth #1631 South Hall. A new PRINT 13 exhibit hall feature, the Inkjet Candy Store brings together the latest introductions of the major wide-format manufacturers in one central location, allowing for easy access, review and comparison. After spending some time in the Inkjet Candy Store, attendees can move on to the Roland booth (# 4274) for a deeper look into the company's technologies, features, software, unique applications, substrates and inks.
