International award winning fine art prints, UV special pricing, printing with purpose for charity and GREENGUARD were just some of the highlights from Roland DG Australia at the recent Visual Impact 2013.
Celebrating 25 years, Roland DG Australia was proud to support the industry as platinum sponsor of the last major sign industry trade show in Australia for 2013 - Visual Impact.
Roland DG were hard to miss at this show, being front and centre at the entrance of the new Homebush facilities, and represented well by several authorised dealers throughout the show floor. The new PRO4 wide format technology continued to be popular, while the VersaUV LEJ-640 attracted plenty of attention with the unique samples displaying the commercial possibilities with this versatile device. Even though numbers were down slightly from previous shows, Roland reported strong sales through the dealer channel including 6 sales of the popular VS Series, over 12 orders for the PRO4 range, 4 LEJ-640 sales, several strong leads through dealers for the XF-640 into the dye sublimation market and many other prospects to follow up.
Catching the eye of many passing by were the impressive special effects on the fine art prints on display on the LEJ-640. Partnering with Roland DG Australia, internationally acclaimed photographer Bob Armstrong, has had extraordinary success with the Roland VersaUV technology. Bob received nine 2013 PIA (Printing Industries of America) "Benny" Awards at the annual Premier Print Awards Gala held on Sept. 8 in conjunction with PRINT 13 in Chicago. The Benny has become a universally recognised symbol for excellence within the printing industry and the Best of Show designation is the highest honor achievable through The Premier Print Award Competition chosen from entries submitted from around the globe.
For a limited time only, special pricing is available on the Roland VersaUV series, including the LEJ, LEC and LEF products - this is a great opportunity to get into the UV printing market and discover a range of unique print applications such as special effects with clear ink, high opacity white for striking transparencies, and also printing on rigid substrates.
Following on from a highly successful program earlier this year, Roland DG continued the 'printing with purpose' project - rather than wasting hundreds of meters of demo and sample print, Roland DG printed a range of collateral for AIME (Aboriginal and Indigineous Mentoring Experience). All the prints will all be sent to AIME after the show to help further their current campaigns.
In a recent initiative, Roland DG received the internationally recognised UL GREENGUARD certification, which was displayed around the Roland stand at Visual Impact. The GREENGUARD Certification Program gives assurance that products designed for use in indoor spaces meet strict chemical emissions limits, which contribute to the creation of healthier interiors for all venues, including hospitals and childcare centers. Roland passes world's strictest standards for low emissions of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into indoor air. Roland ECO-SOL MAX® and ECO-SOL MAX® 2 inks are GREENGUARD Gold Certified Ink UL 2818.
