X-Rite and its subsidiary Pantone LLC, has extended its World of Plastic digital initiative. World of Plastics is an alternative means for customers to learn about colour measurement for plastics without having to travel to a trade show.
World of Plastics allows clients around the globe to take part in free eLearning, Workflow Efficiency Checks, and take advantage of exclusive product promotions. This successful program enables clients to learn how to boost productivity, reduce production waste, and create processes that communicate colour accurately across the entire supply chain.
Direct benefits for participants include recommendations for specification and standardisation within the colour workflow. Program registration is available at www.xrite.com/worldofplastics. Upon registering, participants have access to all aspects of this innovative program.
Launched in August 2013, World of Plastics extended X-Rite’s reach beyond face-to-face tradeshow discussions. “The decision to make use of digital media instead of participating in a major plastics tradeshows enabled us to bring direct benefits to our clients before, during and after the event. As an added benefit, we are able to reach clients without the limitations of distance or time”, said Francesco Tomasello, VP of Sales for EMEA & BIPS. Tomasello also said, “Once registered, clients can continue to take advantage of our on-demand program from our colour experts. Like most colour workflows, controlling colour in plastics is a challenge and tapping into the X-Rite knowledge base gives customers the advantage of our many years of colour measurement, management and communication experience”.
World of Plastics received a rating of 4.2 out of 5 from more than 300 registered participants in terms of its usefulness and overall value. Participants receive a Personal Promotion Code that allows them to take advantage of a series of online tools and events, including upcoming webinars and access to the webinar library. They benefit from best practice sessions in managing the plastics workflow, colour formulation and on-line colour measurement. They can also learn about newly launched devices from X-Rite such as the Ci6x series, and attend webinars that provide insight into industry trends. A Workflow Efficiency Check offers a free and individual consulting service associated with the program.
Registration to the program has been extended to 28 February 2014 based on positive feedback and customer requests. Once registered, users gain instant access to free on-demand services, and new updated materials on a regular basis.
