Following on from the launch of the Truepress Jet W3200UV flatbed UV at FESPA London last year, Screen will preview a new high-speed version at FESPA Munich in May.
Screen Australia’s Northern Region Sales Manager James Haisman will be attending to meet Australian customers.
At 150 sqm/hr, the Truepress Jet W3200UV-HS is a higher-productivity version of the 85 sqm/hr Truepress Jet W3200UV and also has additional features such as the included Caldera GrandRIP+, with the EasyMEDIA option for ICC profiles. Wideformat signage and display
printers with the 85 sqm/hr model are future-proofed because of full in-the-field upgradeability to150 sqm/hr should their productivity demands increase.*
The Truepress Jet W3200UV-HS is a joint development between Screen and its UK subsidiary company, Inca Digital. It prints in six colours + white onto a wide range of rigid and flexible media up to 3.2 x 1.6m in size and up to a maximum 50mm thickness. Screen’s vibrant and wide-gamut Truepress inks include high-opacity white, light cyan and light magenta added to the cmyk set. Truepress inks are noted for their ability to flex without cracking, which means excellent resistance to bending and cutting on a wide variety of print substrates.
A multi-layer function enables sophisticated front/back overprinting of up to eight layers, producing quality backlit and variable day/night graphics. The same multi-layer function enables stunning lenticular advertising panels to be printed at high speed, where the 3D-like image appears to move as the viewer passes by. Options include nozzle mapping, auto cleaning and collision prevention sensors for the printhead carriage. All of these features increase uptime and productivity to the highest in its class.
Screen Australia Managing Director Peter Scott says: “The addition of a machine capable of up to 150 square metres per hour places us right at the heart of serious wide format production. With only a slight speed reduction for close-viewed images, resolution, smoothness and quality are truly excellent, especially for skin-tones. This makes the new W3200UV-HS highly suited for fast production of printed rigid boards and also close-viewed advertising and signage such as point-of-purchase, in-store displays, backlit panels, exhibition graphics and so on. We are sending James Haisman to FESPA to learn all about the new Truepress Jet W3200UV-HS and bring this knowledge back to share with the local industry.”
