Problem: “Our Bratislava, Slovakia, branch looks like a shed with an office and stock inside.” Solution: “Let’s wrap it in Arlon 8000DPF to make it look like an alpine cottage!”

Spandex’s European operation may or may not have had this conversation but, pictures speaking a thousand words, the photographs show what an amazing make-over is possible with some creative thought and the right materials.
Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and a good growth market for Spandex in Europe as the former Eastern bloc’s economy goes from strength to strength, with one of the highest growth rates in both OECD and EU terms.
With the help of production house Blos and using a Mimaki JV-400 solvent printer, Spandex produced the 13 metre x 6.7 metre high wall graphic and began application to the building’s frontage at 8:30am. By 3:30pm the same day it was complete. A time-lapse video can be seen below:

Spandex Asia-Pacific Marketing Manager Nathan Barclay comments: “Arlon DPF 8000 is an industrial high tack film designed to adhere to ‘hard-to-stick’ and low energy surfaces. It’s ideal for indoor and outdoor wraps on brick, concrete and other rough surfaces. Arlon DPF 8000 was selected for this application due to its unique characteristics of pressure sensitive adhesive, conformability and print quality,  making it ideal for difficult and challenging projects such as our Slovakian branch building.”
With Australia being the spiritual home of sheds large and small; what other great shed make-overs are there to be seen out there?
