Spicers are pleased to announce that they have formed a partnership with respected Italian company Elitron.
Effective immediately, the Spicers Sign and Display sector will be supplying Elitron’s impressive European-made finishing/cutting tables for your production needs.
‘We are excited to be able to offer our customers a total finishing solution,’ comments Jason Hay, National Sales Manager – Sign and Display Hardware, Spicers Australia. ‘With 20 years in the business, we are obviously wholly confident of Elitron’s expertise in this area.’
Based in picturesque Monte Urano, Italy, Elitron have been designing and producing cutting solutions and software for specific industrial sectors for two decades. Their ingenious software packages and superb cutting systems meet the needs of customers in industries as varied as Footwear and Leather goods, Furniture and Upholstery, Visual Communication, Packaging and General Industry.
Spicers will be supplying the following Elitron systems: The Kombo SD range, the Kombo TH, and the Kombo TAV.
The Kombo SD range is dedicated to respond to the new requirements of the cardboard, digital printing and signage industries. This flexible die-less finishing system (made of solid cellular steel) has automatic tool pre-setting and a multi-tool cutting head for cutting, creasing and milling materials up to 120mm thick.
The Kombo TH is a dual gantry (yes, dual gantry!) cutting table, hence it’s twice as fast as similar machines. Able to cut two boards simultaneously is just one of its features.
The Kombo TAV is a dual gantry, fully automated cutting table, and is currently the only SuperPlotter with two different cutting heads on the market. The machine is integrated with Airo Panel, for automatic unloading of materials, a powerful vacuum panel that removes all worked and waste materials with great force, and without any scraps being left behind.
Elitron’s Systems can be equipped with the exclusive Elitron-patented Seeker System, the intelligent digital eye for the automatic recognition of images and reference points, and the Video Projection feature, to ensure the best possible material yield.
‘Elitron have a presence in 49 countries and have had over 2000 installations worldwide. We will soon add to that tally, with our first sale, a Kombo SD+ to Mezographic, in process!’ Jason adds.
Frank Mezo from Mezographic is looking forward to the machine’s installation. ‘I first saw this machine at Fespa in London last year and was very impressed with its speed. It’s definitely the fastest cutter I’ve ever seen.’ Frank comments. ‘We purchased it to keep up with the output from our HP 10,000 and we’re very confident it will do so. The technology is revolutionary and the Seeker System is incredible. We are even planning on a second installation, a Kombo TH, within the next 6 months.’
Jason is equally enthusiastic about the Elitron range. ‘These machines perfectly complement any flatbed printing/packaging applications in our product portfolio, and that of our competitors. If you’ve been looking into Zünd, Océ ProCut, Aristo or Esko, then Elitron is a definite must-see.’
