From April 1st 2015, the beginning of the new Japanese financial year, the name of Dainippon Screen (Australia) Pty Ltd will change to: SCREEN GP AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD.
This is to reflect changes announced to the Tokyo stock market last August with the corporate structure becoming one of a holding company with operational subsidiaries. There is no material effect on any of the operational divisions, personnel or products and services.
Managing Director Peter Scott explains: “The ‘GP’ stands for Graphic and Precision and is a shortening of the full new global company title ‘SCREEN Graphic and Precision Solutions Co. Ltd.’ Our President remains Mr Katsuhiko Aoki, who some customers may have met at PacPrint in 2013, and I remain Managing Director of the local company, which retains the same ABN Number: 31 003 031 696.
All SCREEN Holdings Company Ltd worldwide subsidiaries will also drop the ‘Dainippon’ from their names. These include SCREEN Semiconductor, SCREEN Finetech, SCREEN Manufacturing Support and SCREEN Business Support.
Scott says: “Please be assured it is ‘business as usual’ and the new streamlined naming conventions will be clearer to all and will also avoid confusion with other companies prefixed with ‘Dainippon’.”
