Following on from the global release of the Texart RT-640 dye sublimation printer in late 2014, Roland DG Australia has announced the launch of their complete Texart sublimation solution, including the new Texart CS-64 Calender unit.
With advanced print control technology available in either four or eight-colour configurations, the RT-640 delivers vibrant colours, rich blacks, subtle gradations and remarkably fine details, all backed by a comprehensive 3 year warranty. The included take-up unit, integrated bulk ink system, premium ErgoSoft Roland Edition Sublimation RIP, plus the optional Texart CS-64 heat transfer calender unit completes the package.
Roland's 3rd generation SBL3 dye-sublimation ink delivers bold, vibrant colour, deep, rich blacks, subtle gradations and remarkably fine details. In four-colour (CMYK) mode, Texart ink produces bright colours with velvety blacks, improved grey scale and high quality, detailed output. In eight-colour (CMYKLcLmOrVi) mode, the addition of Orange and Violet ink produces an increased colour gamut with exceptional reds and oranges and deep blues and purples while Light Cyan and Light Magenta provide subtle gradations and beautiful skin tones.
Roland's RT-640 is equipped with a bulk ink system that uses airtight-sealed one litre pouches. When in four-colour mode, the system provides two litres per colour, enabling Roland Ink Switching System* to automatically switche to the backup ink pouch when the primary pouch runs out. Further expediting production, you can replace an empty pouch without stopping the printer.
ErgoSoft Roland Edition was developed especially for Roland by ErgoSoft, the premier RIP provider in the textile market. Support for both four-colour and eight-colour printing is provided and it includes numerous features especially for digital textile production that combine excellent high-speed RIP throughput and image quality.
The new Texart CS-64 calender unit is the perfect finishing partner for Roland DG's Texart RT-640. The CS-64 transfers sublimation print produced by the RT-640 at high speed onto a variety of polyester-based materials used for flags, banners, soft signage, fabric for fashion, sports apparel and many other promotional applications. Built to meet high production demands and designed for ease of use, the CS-64 appeals to both seasoned professionals and companies new to the dye sublimation print process.
Simple to use, the control panel of the CS-64 can be mastered in seconds. Loading and unloading materials is equally straight forward. The CS-64 uses a precision roller feed system and digitally regulated, infra-red heat to transfer dye sublimation print onto fabrics. With practical speeds of 40m²/hr and the option of an in-feed table, the CS-64 has the versatility to handle large roll volumes and small pre-cut fabric jobs with equal finesse.
