Epson Australia has announced that it has signed imaging and print services specialist Kayell Australia, as an authorised dealer for its unique Replaceable Ink Pack System printers – RIPS.
Kayell Sales Director Andreas Johansson explained, “Kayell have been looking for a range of devices suited to various industry verticals that could resolve various problems some of our clients have had for some time such as the ability to produce envelopes and labels on the same device. Additionally, this printer is ideal as a proofing solution, to centralise all printing to a single device at lowest cost”.
Epson’s WorkForce Pro RIPS is an entirely new way for small to medium size businesses to cut costs and improve efficiencies when it comes to office colour printing. Utilising this revolutionary system, Epson's new WorkForce® Pro R5000 series and R8000 series multi-function and single function printers can deliver up to 75,000 printed pages in both black and colour before the ink needs to be replaced. These printing solutions allow customers to print high impact colour documents with ultra-low operating costs and minimal maintenance.
Johansson continued, “By producing and releasing RIPS technology Epson have combined the ability to cover general colour print requirements for day to day use whilst having the added bonus of utilising specific media stock to deliver perfect customer facing documentation and imagery. As a result Epson and their RIPS printers are now an important part of Kayell’s technology solution moving forward.”
By using Epson WorkForce Pro RIPS printers, companies looking to reduce their consumable cost per page can save up to 80% when compared to equivalent lasers. In addition, the ultra-low power consumption associated with Epson’s Micro Piezo inkjet technology contributes to further savings of up to 70% in power usage when compared to laser technology.
WorkForce Pro RIPS is also a compelling choice for environmentally conscious businesses. Offering the highest page yield in its class, WorkForce Pro RIPS printers significantly reduce the need to stock many consumable items and parts. As a result storage, transport and logistics are all kept to a minimum, while eliminating the need to recycle empty cartridges.
Johansson added, “Kayell clients that benefit significantly from WorkForce Pro RIPS printing solutions include engineering and design companies with a need for CAD printing, marketing companies looking to produce documentation for client presentations with professional quality output, not-for-profit organisations looking to cap or reduce printing costs, fashion houses looking for the ability to do general print and design imagery, real estate companies looking to produce customer brochures and pamphlets on special media and sporting organisations looking to create specific event-based promotional documents in small runs.”
Epson WorkForce Pro RIPS printers are also equipped with Epson’s award winning, high density resin coated pigment ink – DURABrite Pro. This new four colour (CMYK) ink set is water and smudge resistant and produces ultra sharp detail and vibrant coloured graphics on plain and specialty papers including semi-gloss, gloss and double sided matte up to 256gsm.
The new WorkForce Pro RIPS models also feature Epson PrecisionCore™ technology, built-in connectivity features including Ethernet, USB, wireless b/g/n2 and Wi-Fi Direct® to easily print from tablets and smartphones and include remote printing and access to the cloud.
