DGI in South Korea have announced that Pozitive has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for DGI products in the Australian market.
DGI specialize in wide format printers for textile applications including sublimation transfer and digital direct printing to synthetic and natural fibers. A range of wide format and grand format eco solvent machines for the sign & graphics market completes the range.
“DGI have been hard at work developing a quality range of printers for the textile markets” said Bryan Choi, Director of DGI. “Whether it be paper transfer sublimation, sublimation direct or pigment and reactive inks for natural fibres like cotton and silk, we have machines to suit mid-range and mass production.”
“It is a pleasure to work with a company like Pozitive, who came well recommended” said Kenneth Kim, Regional Manager of DGI.
“When it comes to digital textile printing, our machines are one piece of the equation, and Pozitive ticked all the boxes for a company who could integrate our technology into a complete solution.”
“After more than 15 years experience in the sublimation and textile printing industry we have closely monitored the development and growth of DGI as they transitioned from producing solvent printers to carving out a name in digital textile printing” said Philip Trumble, Managing Director of Pozitive. “We are very impressed in what they have achieved and know they will play a big role in the development of the Australian textile printing market.”
The DGI range of textile printers comprises the “FT” range (Fabrijet Transfer) for Sublimation Paper printing, the “FD” range (Fabrijet Direct) for Pigment & Reactive inks to synthetic and natural fibers, “FG” (Fabrijet Grand) for grand format fabric printing for the graphics market and the “VE” (Velajet) range of eco solvent machines.
The FD range incorporates a “sticky belt” feeding mechanism with an integrated belt washing system that allows for printing onto even the most difficult textiles like silk and viscose.
The FT range includes the FT-1904x which prints standard length sublimation paper rolls at speeds up to 80m2 / hour, and the HS FT which can handle 3500 metre “mini jumbo” rolls for high speed, mass production of sublimation paper for sportswear, fashion, home textiles and flags / banners up to 200m2 / hour.
High quality eco solvent printers complete the range, and the VE series is offered in 1900mm and 3200mm width. VE series printers are ideal for printing onto SAV, banner, backlit film, wall graphic media, mesh without liner, poster paper and vehicle wrap film.
“With all our partners, high level service and support is imperative to ensure our end users are in production with the right training and advice, and Pozitive was the right partner for DGI” said Kim. “Their technical expertise and sound understanding of textile printing is a real benefit to our end users.”
An FT-1904x demonstration unit has been commissioned at the Pozitive demo centre in Eastern Creek, NSW and is now available for product evaluation.
