Spandex, together with Avery Dennision hosted a vehicle wrapping workshop in late November at the Polytechnic West premises in Perth.

Spandex WA State Manager Russell Barnes notes: “This continues a number of workshops across Australia in the TAFE Training Centres and has been very successful; with apprentices benefiting from hands-on application of vinyl to difficult curves and contours of vehicles.”
Theo Kostarakis from Avery Dennison delivered a highly instructional and practical course which the apprentices thoroughly appreciated. To be able to use the very latest in vinyl technology and walk away at the end of the day with both a better understanding of products and the tools to do the job was a fantastic outcome for the day’s activities.
Polytechnic West Signage tutor Alan Peardon says: “It is through these opportunities from leading suppliers like Spandex and Avery, who are willing to be involved with tomorrow’s Signage professionals; that the high standards required for vehicle graphics and other applications are assured.”
Apprentice participants were:
Jack Brice and Phil Tremewen - Signs and Lines
Darnell Mitchell - City Signs
Eric Simmons - Trident Signs
Jack Imberti – Glenway Signs
Nathan Brown – Geraldton Signmakers
Gera Kazakov – Signs Ahead
Ryan Smith-Halvorsen – Prime Signs Creative FX
