OKI Data has announced an upgrade to its ColorPainter M-64s wide-format printer. This complimentary firmware upgrade to version 3.04 will offer users added benefits, including enhanced speed and productivity. In addition, OKI Data is also offering generous trade-up rebate incentives on purchases of select devices made between January 1 and March 31, 2016. One of the more impressive features of this latest update are the enhancements to the Smart Nozzle Mapping 2 (SNM2) Technology – moving it to SNM3 by making the mapping of clogged nozzles an automatic process instead of a manual process. This advanced nozzle compensation feature re-maps clogged nozzles so the print function seamlessly delivers the output required to maintain image quality. This significantly reduces downtime, boosting productivity and providing fail-proof quality control. With this enhancement, users can print continuously with even better stability.ColorPainter M 64s
The firmware upgrade will provide users with the ability to:
•Increase productivity using the optional automatic feature provided in the SNM3 print technology
•Significantly shorten the time for Sheet Mount Cleaning, providing greater flexibility and productivity
•Print remaining length of media when roll is dismantled for ease of use
All new units will include the update at time of install. For existing units already in the field, users may contact their authorised distributor to receive the updated firmware.
Designed for mid- to high-volume digital print shops, the ColorPainter M-64s wide-format printer provides distinct competitive advantages that equate to higher productivity and profits. The robust and easy to use 64 inch high-speed printer features practical production speed, outstanding print quality and color consistency. The device’s 6- or 7-color SX eco-solvent, low-odor inks have achieved the GREENGUARD Gold Certification for the UL 2818 - 2013 Standard for Chemical Emissions for Building Materials, Finishes and Furnishings. GREENGUARD Gold Certification helps manufacturers create – and consumers identify – products with low chemical emissions, thus improving air quality in the environments in which the devices and their output are used.
“OKI Data’s investment in the ColorPainter M-64s upgrade highlights our commitment to continually advancing the wide-format line and deliver increasing value to our customers,” said Fabrizio Soto, General Manager of the Wide Format Division at OKI Data Americas. “We recognise the success that our wide-format line is achieving in the marketplace, and we have ramped up initiatives to support this increasing demand.”
Furthering OKI Data’s support of the wide-format line, two new sales managers have been added to the central and northeast regions within North America to facilitate customers’ access to these high performance printers. Dennis Golding will be responsible for the central region of Texas to North Dakota, and Rick Robertson will be responsible for the northeast region stretching from Virginia into eastern Canada.
