Version 15 contains a new Gamut Mapping for ColorGPS Profiler, which helps to achieve smoother gradients and more colourful results especially in very industry specific colour spaces of e.g. textiles, ceramics or high-pressure laminate applications.
Anna Tobler, CEO at ErgoSoft AG said, 'ErgoSoft strengthened its development division and now has a strong team on board with increased know-how of the field and new technologies. Overall, it's the perfect set up to come up with innovative solutions to serve the demanding digital printing business. We strive to continue building on our well-known leadership position in providing productive, easy to use applications as well as prompt and high-quality customer service based on detailed and specific technical knowhow.'
ErgoSoft is going to present the beta version of Version 15 at FESPA 2016 in Amsterdam (8-11 March) in hall 5 booth number P44. Next to the new and modern appearance, there will be some exciting new features ErgoSoft is looking forward to showing their visitors.
The demanded features such as improved user level rights in order to protect certain elements with a password or 'printer pools' which simplifies the job sharing between printers for users with several machines of the same type can also be found in the new version. Further, the new matrix for stochastic was speeded up, combining high productivity with highest quality while adding up to plus 40% rapidity compared to V14 dithering.
Another requested and long-awaited feature is Nesting, which is now integrated into the JobComposer and the HotFolder application to benefit from the automated arrangement of multiple images per job.
But the development has not only worked on the new features but also improved old functions and adapted them to the current requirements. Multiple Image Add-Ons can be combined on one image and PostScript based Add-Ons can be used as a cutting path. Step and Repeat is now supporting PS and PDF files and is transformed form an import filter to an Image Property. Another innovation is the new PDF engine, which shows dynamic and colour correct previews of PDF files as well as the re-designed Cut Feature.
Besides the technical innovations, the sales model has also been adapted to international market requirements. In addition to the normal licensing model, ErgoSoft is going to introduce a subscription based model. ErgoSoft strengthened the product portfolio by taking all the benefits of the three RIP products and combined them into a strong RIP solution addressing all the different applications in the wide range of the market.
The generational change and the imminent release of the new version is the beginning of a new era at ErgoSoft with the main goal to broaden ErgoSoft’s solid foundation with very flexible, modular parts, making them easy to use and simple to integrate. This will be the heart of the future developments at ErgoSoft and the orientation of the company.
