The third-generation family enterprise Aslan, Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG has enlarged its production and warehouse facilities at its headquarters in Overath-Untereschbach, Germany: An additional warehouse and shipping facility now covers an area of around 1,500 sqm and has joined the existing premises.
Thus, the company meets the growing material and space requirements, which result from the continuous positive development of the international demand for the German specialty films.
After the site had been recently expanded by a modern office building on top of a warehouse for raw materials in 2011, the newly constructed hall shelters a new warehouse for finished goods with room for 1,200 palettes as well as the order picking area. Goods can now be dispatched from three gates simultaneously. Furthermore, the dislocation of the dispatch area also creates a significant extension of the production space.
The new building was completed and put into operation ahead of schedule in early December 2015, after the ground had been broken right on time on June 8, 2015 following the festivities celebrating the 65th company anniversary.
In the course of the extension, the facade will also undergo a redesign. Large-scale metal facework in the corporate colour red is going to be the main design feature.
