Spandex is expanding its operations in the Nordic region with the acquisition of the sign and display operations of Schneidler Grafiska in Sweden and Norway.
This follows on from several acquisitions in the past 2 years including Qualsign and PlasImage here in Australia.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Schneidler Grafiska is a leading distributor of equipment, print media, inks and related services to sign & display companies and screen printers representing industry leading brands such as HP, Fujifilm, M&R, Inca, 3M, Avery Dennison, 3A and Arlon .
Both companies will build on their strengths in order to provide a wider portfolio of products from leading industry brands coupled with increased service levels to sign makers and graphics professionals across the Nordic countries.
The deal does not include Schneidler Grafiska’s general commercial business, covering bookbinding, flexographic, offset and industrial print industries, which will be transferred to a newly established company – Edvard Schneidler AB. Edvard Schneidler AB will continue to operate from its present facilities in Stockholm and the ownership will remain with the previous owners of Schneidler Grafiska.
Jan Skantze, a member of Schneidler Grafiska’s founding family, comments: “Schneidler Grafiska was founded in 1673 and has since developed great expertise in the specialist wide format printing market and close relationships with our loyal customers, which has been made possible by our committed and knowledgeable staff. I am confident that the business culture of Schneidler Grafiska will be preserved and reinforced by its new owners at Spandex.”
