Sun Chemical Performance Pigments has expanded its portfolio of high chroma dispersions for energy curable inkjet inks to now include particle sizes that are smaller than 150nm (micron).
The smaller particle sizes increase the strength and colour gamut allowing for bolder colour and more hues, while maintaining particle size stability and ink filtration. Previously branded as SpectraRAY IJ dispersions, Sun Chemical will now market the product line under the Jetsperse UV brand name.
Jetsperse UV delivers formulators maximum flexibility in their formulations and is provided in full color sets for both propoxylated neopentyl glycol diacrylate (PO-NPGDA) and 2-phenoxyethyl acrylate (2-PEA) monomers. Jetsperse UV preparations are delivered in easy-to-handle pails, drums, and totes to provide improved shelf stability.
“Sun Chemical continues to see increased demand for higher performing preparations within the energy curable market, and we have delivered with Jetsperse UV,” said Peter O’Loughlin, Director of Global Marketing, Sun Chemical. “The original SpectraRAY IJ series of dispersions performed well in the market, but offering a new, smaller particle size preparation with significant performance benefits gave Sun Chemical an opportunity to rebrand the line under the established Jetsperse family of dispersions.”
The rebranded Jetsperse UV for energy curable inkjet inks naturally fits with Sun Chemical’s Jetsperse family of dispersions for inkjet, which include: Jetsperse AQ aqueous pigment preparations for publication and textile applications, Jetsperse DS dispersed dye preparations for transfer and direct dye sublimation applications, and Jetsperse S solvent preparations for outdoor and indoor signage and banners.
